4. Edition of the festival is over.

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the audience at this year's festival was film "The Hope" | IThemba | dir. Elinor Burnett.

Awarded director will receive a prize of 4 000 PLN (around 1 000 euro), which is funded by the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie. Congratulations.

This year's edition was for us, the organizers great time. Thank you for such a large turnout, the enthusiasm in watching movies, interesting conversations and friendly atmosphere.
We would like to thank the people and institutions who have supported us, financially as well as the possible realization of the festival, and all the directors for submitted films.

4. edition is coming 26-28 November Ethnographic Museum in Torun

Let us take you on a journey. A journey to the farthest corners of the globe. We will show the ways of life of people from distant cultures. We want you to carefully look at the human, the environment surrounding him, but most of all we want you to take a look at the culture, which has been shaped by the people.
Our goal is to promote the unique nature of the documentary, which is an anthropological film. We regard it as a type of tool used for recording and especially for the presentation of cultural studies.
With over 140 images submitted from 50 countries, we have selected 23 films. Not all authors of the presented documentaries are anthropologists. However they are united with a certain type of ethnological sensitivity. Curiosity about the world, human interest and a willingness to explore the hidden corners, making important and often sensitive issues concerning the human condition in the modern world.
We present you films, divided into four thematic blocks: documentaries relating to the tradition, focused on daily life of human - home, family; showing how the world today is changing in unimaginable pace.
It makes us incredibly happy if presented films will provide you inspiration to many interesting discussion. It give us the enthusiasm and strength for the preparation of subsequent editions of the festival even better.
